NORTON - A combined memorial service will be held in memory of Sam Mtukudzi and Owen Chimhare on Saturday 8 May 2010 at Pakare Paye Arts Centre here. Proceedings start at 9am. Friends and relatives may you accept this intimation.
Sam and Owen died tragically on Monday 15th March 2010 when their car veered off the road and crashed into a bridge on the outskirts of Harare. They were driving home to Norton from the capital.
The childhood friends, who were housemates and worked together in the same group the Ay Band, were laid to rest in graves side by side at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare on Wednesday 17th March 2010. – Issued jointly by Mtukudzi and Chimhare families. – tukumusik.com
