Four nights with Tuku

NORTON – FOUR nights! FOUR shows! FOUR spots! FOUR provinces! Now, that is grueling. Yet for the love of his fans Tuku is landing from his overseas tour and hitting the road straight away for countryside shows.

End of last year Tuku made a commitment he would devote quite a chunk of his performances this year to his fans outside the capital Harare. So, HERE WE COME. That explains Tuku’s four shows at four separate venues over four successive nights across four provinces.

The diary: Friday 06 August, Mverechena Hotel, Domboshawa (Mashonaland East Province); Saturday 07 August, Spillway, Lake Chivero (Harare Province); Sunday 08 August, Silver Ladies, Gweru (Midlands Province) and Monday 09 August, Terry Hall, Beitbridge (Matabeleland South). Tuku takes a few days’ break and is headed southwards on Friday 20 August, Club Oasis, (Masvingo Province). A good month devoted entirely to our good fans.

Here we come...Tuku set for Gweru, Beitbridge and Masvingo.

In his 2010 plan Tuku revealed he would particularly visit the outlaying areas often skipped in his ever tight itinerary but forever close to his heart for the undying support.

We are taking each of the places outside Harare one at a time. Already we have done Chinhoyi, Rusape, Mutare and Kadoma and will announce more venues in due course.

To allow time for overseas performances and the outside Harare shows Tuku has not staged any public gigs in the capital since Friday 25 June. He only returns for public shows in Harare city itself in September for his annual birthday bash. – Shepherd Mutamba/tukumusik.com
