HARARE - Tuku returns to The Mannenberg in Harare on Thursday 3 February for another rare acoustic performance – up close and personal.
A concept to satisfy fans who prefer the more intimate acoustic solos the show brings Tuku into close proximity with his audiences often distanced on the big stage. Fans have the opportunity to catch the finer nuances of the superstar : a close-up on the guitar, a shrug of the shoulder, a laugh, a wink of the eye… Opening for Tuku are young artists John Pfumojena (vocals and mbira) and Ishe Jere (keyboards). Tuku himself supports the development of young artists through his Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton – a talent development academy that he founded in 2003 to share his space with upcoming artists entirely for free. Tables at the show are limited with doors opening at 8pm and the first act starting at 9pm. Admission is $20. Table reservations for diners can be made now.
