HARARE – After more than two months away from home hitting the road hard Stateside, South America and the UK, Tuku returns with one hell of a nostalgic concert on Friday 29 April 2011 at the formerly Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), now the International Conference Centre (ICC).
The concert is our own Tuku Music Promotions that is why we are hosting a special party to suit the Tuku fan.

Tuku will be accompanied by the legendary Golden Girls - the big mamas of song - whose vintage performances are always sheer pleasure and a reminder of the blast from the 1970s era of our music.
Because the Golden Girls attract standing ovation (ALWAYS) – that alone is testimony to the relevance of their classic style today amongst both the older music fans and the younger ones too.
The Golden Girls, now in their late 50s and 60s, are in retirement but regroup for rehearsals for special shows with Tuku whom they backed in The Black Spirits more than two decades ago. Their collaboration with Tuku is a unique experience of Zimbabwe’s afro contemporary combinations and one of the highest fulfillments of our music today.

Our young sensation from our arts academy, at Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton, Munya Mataruse with his Kazevezeve outfit, will also warm up fans ahead of Tuku’s performance. Munya’s Dengu Remhodzi debut album from our Tuku Music label is out soon. – Shepherd Mutamba / tukumusik.com
