RUWA – Tuku extends gratitude to the diplomatic community, business leaders, artists, arts administrators, traditional leaders, ministers and public fans for supporting today’s collaborative deal with sculptors at Springstone Trust here this afternoon.
The show rocked right at the heart of legendary late sculptor Henry Munyaradzi’s farm now run by Springstone Trust. Tuku featured daughter Selmar and were later joined by guest Dudu Manhenga for the acoustic performance where Tuku did not pocket proceeds from the box-office. In short Tuku performed for his passion: stone sculptures. The money he made stayed with the sculptors working at Springstone Trust. Tuku will now choose sculptures the equivalent of the gate takings. He will display the pieces at his sculpture park at his arts academy at Pakare Paye in Norton. Today’s concept goes beyond the entertainment value of music as it promotes cultural tourism while also nourishing artist-to-artist business synergies. We had a jolly good day in the sun amongst friends and fans. Below are scenes from Springstone Trust this afternoon. –tukumusik.com
